Vital Regeneration offers many opportunities for volunteers with the desire to be involved in community learning. By working with schools, youth groups and outreach projects you can help to bring creativity to many people in the local community.

We offer volunteers:
- The opportunity to learn practical workplace skills ranging from communication to administration.
- The chance to increase your understanding of contemporary arts, multimedia and educational issues.
Via our volunteer scheme we aim to:
- Provide an opportunity for volunteers to learn practical workplace skills, ranging from IT and administration, to the softer skills of communication, confidence, and professionalism.
- Provide volunteers with a stepping stone into the competitive area of arts, education and community development and increase the volunteers’ understanding of regeneration, the arts and educational issues.
- Provide volunteers with links to organisations that will offer support and advice on finding future employment.
- Extend the reach of Vital Regeneration’s services.
Across the varied activities undertaken by Vital Regeneration there are opportunities for a variety of volunteer positions requiring an increasing scale of commitment as follows:
Short term Isolated activity such as support during an evening event, mailshot or away day (such as one or possibly two occasions of 2-6 hours each)Vital Regeneration is dedicated to equipping volunteers with skills that are applicable practically to the workplace, but also with knowledge that gives a clear insight into the industry. Volunteers can expect to be included and consulted over ideas and planning stages for new projects. The volunteer will be given tasks initially that should encourage a familiarity with the organisation and they will also sit in on suitable meetings to observe the internal organisation of Vital Regeneration.
We need people with a sound knowledge of basic Microsoft software, who will be flexible to work between sites within Westminster and who have good communication and organisational skills. We can provide you with opportunities to gain a variety of skills to broaden your work experience. Training will be 'inhouse' and specific to the tasks being undertaken. We will also reimburse travel expenses up to Zone 6 and lunch costs up to £4.00 per day. There will also be the opportunity to undertake one of the many courses delivered by our learning centres.
