From the 19th - 28th October 2007 six buildings along the Harrow Road broadcast radio programmes created by artist Jennie Savage and local young people.

 

Each 30 minute broadcast consisted of interviews and musical performances by Harrow Road residents, workers and visitors. Each building transmitted 24 hours a day. Visitors to the work heard the broadcast by using…

3. Wireless Headphones

Our favourite way to listen was to walk from one end of the road to the other wearing the wireless headphones given out at the Stowe Centre. Snippets of interviews and music blended with the ambient sounds to make each visit unique. The devices picked up each new programme as listeners passed by each new transmission zone.
