Apprenticeships

Vital Regeneration manages The Westminster Apprenticeship Programme.
The programme gives young people 16 to 24, socially housed in Westminster the opportunity to earn while they learn.
An Apprenticeship means the young person is employed while at the same time studying towards a vocational qualification i.e. an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3.
Our advisors will:
- Treat the young person in a professional manner in our face-to-face or telephone sessions
- Treat all information as confidential
- Provide advice and guidance on the apprenticeship or work placements opportunities and assist the young person to make decisions about the right opportunity for them
- Provide support for the position the young person is interested in, including CV writing, application form completing and interview skills
- Give assistance in planning effectively, with clear objectives to help the young person get into an apprenticeship or work placement
- Act as a broker, finding both the right employer and training provider for the young person
- Provide additional support throughout the apprenticeship or work placement
Our scheme has placed young people within a number of housing associations in positions such as IT and Business administration.
The Westminster Apprenticeship Programme is part of the Local Labour Initiative, run in partnership with City of Westminster Council and CityWest Homes.
